“Having understood that Raj was not just a theorist, but also a successful practitioner in Lean Manufacturing, I requested his assistance for a cost reduction exercise for one of our regional suppliers. After a short plant tour, Raj identified areas of concern and focus. He conducted two training programs, one in Value Stream Mapping and another in Kanban Pull System and suggested action plans. By the end of the second day, we identified cost savings of approx. US$ 1.2 million. Several months later, we again visited the plant and by then they had already achieved a cost saving of US$0.5 million and were on track to meet the final target.
